After the signing (in Fano, in May 2022) of a memorandum of understanding among the ten municipalities, BIA coordinated the mapping activities with inspections and meetings in the different sites and places until the end of 2023, thus facilitating the discussion within the community, which met in a one-day focus group (in Rome, on 13th January 2023) coordinated by BIA and led by officials of the Central Institute for Intangible Heritage (ICPI).

The final objective is the presentation of the application for the historical carnivals with papier-mâché floats to be listed in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
