The project submitted by the ICH UNESCO Element “Truffle hunting and extraction in Italy, traditional knowledge and practice” and admitted for funding under Law No. 77, February 20, 2006 – E.F. 2023 is entitled “Safeguard Measure: Awareness Raising Actions for the Transmission of the Element”.

After the successful collaboration for the project referred to E.F. 2022, Bia has joined the National Association of Truffle Cities (ANCT) also in the year 2023, for the design, drafting and submission of the call for funding request provided for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage sites and elements.

The collaboration between BIA and ANCT has been going on for a long time, since the drafting of the candidacy dossier and then continued after the UNESCO recognition for the support in the phases of conception, drafting and presentation of the 2022 and 2023 projects.

Decree 147 of 04/16/2024 (https://cultura.gov.it/comunicato/26384) announced the elements eligible for 2023 funding, and the project “Safeguard Measure: Awareness Raising Actions for the Transmission of the Element” was among the projects admitted and funded, for the full amount requested.
